Scott Walker left us at the age of 76.
All of my thoughs and condolences are for his loving family and friends.
I sincerely must say that I don’t really know a lot about his music, but how can we forget “Make It Easy On Yourself” and “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore“. Those were the 60s and he was the innovative one…
Just take a few minute for yourself and listen to this amazing song…
The way that he used to sing, his low tone… was particular and he inspired a lot of singers like Nick Cave, David Bowie, Radiohead‘s Frontman Thom Yorke and I could think Jim Morrison too.
Nowadays I could name their genre Alternative Rock or the begininning to Pop–Grunge, I mean just for the music notes.
These were the Walker Brothers but then he didn’t stop at all, he kept on making records (1,2,3,4)
This is “The Seventh Seal” from his album 4. Just listen to it
It was way far from 1965 and he knew what his soul was made of. It was pure alternative rock … that sound that flows, eternal, that never abandons you, that will keep us company on every journey of our lives.
